I am sure everyone had a good Christmas celebration and are gearing up for the new year’s eve. To show my love to all the wonderful readers, I will be designing a custom WordPress theme for one person who wins this contest. In order to participate in this contest, all you have to do is write about this entry on your blog and mention it here in the comments. I will then hold a lucky draw among all those people who blogged about this.
After I decide on the winner, I will design the new theme exactly according to the winner’s specifications. The colors and the layout will also be according to the winner’s choice and of course, all this comes for free!
The contest will run until January 1, 2008 and the winner’s name will be declared on that date. So, all you people who want to enter 2008 with a shiny new WordPress theme designed as per your tastes, start blogging about this news.

Written by Jai on December 23, 2007 – 5:25 pm - 26,221 views“Simplicity is the key to brilliance”
- Bruce Lee (American actor and a martial arts expert).
Bruce Lee believed in this fact and so do I. Therefore, I have named my new WordPress theme as Brilliance. This is a 3-column, widget ready theme with soothing colors and design. The theme also has provision for an adsense block in the third column where you can put your adsense code (just edit the adsense.php file).
I hope you all like it and would love to hear your feedback on this WordPress theme.

Finally, I have decided to join the race. You might want to know which race am I talking about. Well, I am talking about the race of the bald bloggers. On the occasion of this blog crossing the 1000 readers bar , I decided to shave my head today and suddenly remembered that many of the popular bloggers are actually bald (Darren Rowse, Jeremy Schoemaker).
So, if you also want to join this bald bloggers’ race, shave your head and tell me about it
I know that you love your locks but you only qualify if you are bald. If you are a female…I would say…go for it. You might set a trend.

You must have heard the term “Viral marketing” a lot nowadays and it seems to be the new in thing, with countless of internet marketers and online advertisers passionately enunciating all the benefits behind this new phenomenon that although so fresh, has already become part of the latest internet movement. But what is viral marketing? Can we buy it, sell it? Can it be controlled? Is there money to be made from it? First, before we proceed, a simple yet precise explanation on viral marketing.
“Viral marketing and viral advertising refer to marketing techniques that use pre-existing social networks to produce increases in brand awareness, through self-replicating viral processes, analogous to the spread of pathological and computer viruses.” - Wikipedia
To a certain extent blogs and the tangible blogosphere could be considered a vast social network, connect together by millions of bloggers systematically reviewing, discovering, commenting, experimenting and above all sharing their experiences with the world. As the news spreads, reaching a wider audience and suffering a further push from other bloggers, who so generously elected to share the same piece of information, the article creates the so called viral effect. What was once a simple static piece of information, now has gained life and spread all over the internet. Read more
