Pepperjam Network - The Next Gen Affiliate Marketing
Written by Jai on January 29, 2008 – 9:04 am - 2,417 viewsPepperjam network is the next generation affiliate marketing network that includes a number of advanced tools that allow Web site owners to monetize Web traffic.
They just released a Video Tutorial of pepperjamADS, which is an affiliate marketing widget from Pepperjam Network that you can use to serve customized contextual ads from one or multiple Pepperjam Network advertisers at the same time.
The ad units come in various shapes and sizes. You can mix and mash ads from any of Pepperjam Network merchant partners. For instance, you can create a fashion widget by selecting various ads from multiple fashion merchants. Likewise, you can create a specific widget with ads from any one merchant.
The thing that really separates pepperjamADS technology from anything else is that you get to choose the ads you want in the widget. Think about it - on CJ, Linkshare, ShareASale, Performics, Azoogle, and others you simply select a specific banner or specific text link for one merchant. You are limited to promoting one specific merchant per creative. Also, note that Pepperjam Network has its own referral program that pays Web site owners up to $7 for every approved affiliate application.

Written by Jai on January 26, 2008 – 5:39 am - 7,287 views
I am pleased to launch Blog Oh! Blog’s second Premium WordPress Theme - “Trueblogger“. This is a 3-column, blue-colored theme with an eye-catching Web 2.0 design. The theme draws power from the jQuery platform to integrate two useful components required for modern blogging, and it is a fixed-width theme with enough space for any blogger’s gadgets and gizmos.
Here are some salient features of the Trueblogger theme:-
- BBC Style Ticker Component :

To the best of my knowledge, none of the existing WordPress themes has incorporated this feature. This ticker allows you to highlight any kind of information on top of your blog, separating it from the rest of the blog. The component uses jQuery platform for the functionality and currently displays ten most popular post titles in a typewriter animation.
- News Items Component :

This feature also uses jQuery platform + Easynews plugin to show news on your blog. The component supports all kind of HTML code, so you can put pictures or any other data that you want in the news items. Your site visitors can scroll through the news experiencing a smooth javascript transition. All these news items are directly editable through a single file which makes them easily customizable.

Written by Jai on January 24, 2008 – 9:02 am - 3,395 views
The design of your blog definitely helps to attract new visitors but the textual content will always rule the search engines and of course, the mind of your readers. The following 10 tips will give you some ideas for improving your content and keeping your readers interested:
1. Pick a focus or a niche.
There are something like 77 million blogs. In order to gain readers who are interested in your content, it helps to write about what you know, whether that be sports or politics or parenting. Niche blogs are a fast-growing concept, and blogs about knitting, cooking, gardening, and crafts are attracting more attention.
2. Decide if your content will be family-friendly or mature, and then stick to it.
You have to write in your own “voice”, and your content should match it’s subject. If your blog is a way for your Grandma to keep up with what your kids are doing, then you probably shouldn’t use too many swear words or have ads with scantily-clad women in them.
3. Don’t feel obligated to post every day unless you really want too.
Depending on the focus of your blog, you might not have a reason to post every day. And there is nothing more boring than a post that starts with “Well, there’s not much to say today.” Then, don’t say it! Wait until you have enough material for a complete post.
4. Treat your blog posts like a piece of real writing.
This is a mistake that so many bloggers make. It’s okay to once in a while publish a post that is made up mostly of links to other things, but the majority of your content should be carefully thought out with a beginning, middle, and end. Break your content up into short paragraphs rather than long ones. Start with an opening paragraph to introduce the topic, middle paragraphs to give information, and an ending paragraph that sums everything up.

Written by Jai on January 23, 2008 – 10:39 am - 2,366 views
Our favorite blogging CMS, WordPress, has received a whopping $29.5 million as funding from four companies, to buffer as it invests in other services, including an antispam filter and an online-identity product. These companies did not reveal the size of each firm’s investment, although The New York Times Company’s stake is the smallest one.
The Times Company had previously maintained a business relationship with Automattic, the commercial arm of the popular WordPress publishing platform. The About.com guide site, which was purchased by the Times Company in 2005, is published using the WordPress platform. The New York Times has also produced more than 50 blogs using the platform.
I am really proud to be a WordPress user and so are many other bloggers around the world. What about you?

Written by Jai on January 16, 2008 – 8:53 pm - 2,897 views
I have been busy designing the new theme for this website and the result is in front of you. Blogohblog [dot] com has got a brand new theme for itself (I call it bob on fire!). Hurray!
I have made the layout of the website more organized with more compatibility for IE 6.0 and for people working on the 1024×768 resolution. Also, you will see the last five WordPress themes on the top in a slideshow (jQuery). The plugoo chat was inevitable, so had to create space for that too on the left side. The logo has changed a bit, and yes, I think it looks much better now. I have put also pagination on the bottom for easy reading of the posts. And finally, added a little fire to make things hot!
I will be tweaking some more stuff while you browse the website so just bear with me. And yeah, let me know what you think of this new template!
