I went to this folder: themes/daily press
Found this file: index.php
Found this section:
<img src="<?php bloginfo('stylesheet_directory'); ?>/images/rss.gif" alt="Subscribe to our RSS feed?" title="Subscribe to our RSS feed?" style="float:right; margin-left:5px;" />

Copied the code used for the link feed, uploaded an e-mail icon into my /images/ folder within theme/dailypress and changed the image URL to one of an e-mail icon, changed the second URL to my e-mail subscribe URL and then saved it :3

Not sure if that's the right way to do it, but it works.

At the top of the first most recent post, using DailyPress theme, there's an RSS icon. How might I put a small e-mail icon beside it, so that readers can subscribe to e-mail as well?

You can see the theme installed here: http://www.2phatgeeks.com. The RSS icon is upper right hand side from just above the very first blog post.

nevermind, you just need to copy and paste this above the footer on the archive php

<?php next_posts_link('<span class=\'older\'>Older Entries') ?>

<?php previous_posts_link('<span class=\'newer\'>Newer Entries') ?>

When you go to the "Archives" section or to an added "Authors" widget on the sidebar, the theme seems to only post one page of posts. There's no "older entries" button to go backward. In other words, if you have written 100 posts in August, only the first dozen or so show up after you hit the "August" button and there's no way to go backward. Same thing if you hit on an author's name. You get the last few articles and no way to go deeper into the database.

Is there an easy fix for this?

Thanks.

If you open up the lsidebar.php, you will notice this code :-

<?php wp_list_cats('sort_column=name&hierarchical=0'); ?>

The sorting is done by name. For more information, go here :-
