Jai, is it possible to make the excerpts not there at all? meaning deleting it for good instead of just having 1 there?

Jai-

Yup, I got that. So, right now for instance I have it set to "20." I also have the PHP set to display the most recent 5 at the top ('showposts=5'). This it does fine.

The bottom is where it gets strange. It shows the most recent 4 excerpts (instead of skipping to #6), then skips number 5, continues with number 6-20. Odd...very odd.

I would prefer (in this scenario) that 1-5 would display at the top and 6-20 would display at the bottom.

Make sense?

You can see what I mean at http://www.noelheikkinen.com

Thanks so much for helping!

OK. First things first.

Go to options->reading section of your WP-admin. You will have an option there which you can configure to tell Wordpress how many posts to display on home page. I hope you are not forgetting this.

By default, bobv2 allows your single most recent post to appear on top and rest in the excerpts. So, if in the options you have 10 as the number, then one will show on top and 9 in the excerpts. So, this is how it works.

I hope this explains it better.

I absolutely love this theme. In fact, it is the first time I haven't used one I built myself. That says a lot.

One thing I can't seem to get to work is the excerpts at the bottom of the index page. They list the first 6 posts, but since I have already changed the code to have 5 full posts appear on the site they are a bit superfluous. I'm not a complete PHP newb (although I am a relative one), but I can't seem to figure out how to have the excerpts start with the 6th post instead of the first. I would also like to increase the number of posts to 10 or so, but one thing at a time, I suppose. :)

Any thoughts?
