I'm using Xplosive. I have Sphere and ShareThis icons at the end of each post. However, when I use the ---more--- command, the post snippet appears, but so do the two icons. How to I display the post excerpt on the front page, but without the icons? Thanks,

Well, I saw your site and only see the sharethis and sphere text appearing on three of your initial posts ( not the icons ). Its your plugins and wordpress which are conflicting not the theme. So, you will have to figure out what the plugins are doing ...
BTW, I see you have removed our link from the template.. bad boy :)
