Omnistar Affiliate Software Review

osiaffiliate

Affiliate marketing in an internet based marketing concept, where merchants offer commission to affiliates for selling their products or services. The merchants would require affiliate software for this purpose, which can be purchased online. Though purchasing this software would require a one-time investment, it is worth the money spent. Once the software is installed, there are no additional costs involved. This type of marketing is cheap and gives instant results. There aren’t any advertising expenses, since commission is paid to affiliates after the sale is processed. Therefore, the pre-selling costs are ZERO. This online marketing strategy should be used with various channels available on the internet. Essentially, an affiliate marketer should explore all the means of promoting sales like, SEO, keyword optimization, Pay Per Click, Pay Per Performance, Pay Per Email, Pay Per Action Adwords and so on.

Choose The Right Affiliate Tracking Software

There is a variety of tracking software available on the internet. Most of them have common features like customer service, report generation, recording of sales, alerting merchant about the sale, web page for registration of affiliates.

Omnistar Affiliate offers all these features and more. It offers a number of ways for the affiliate users to advertise your products and services. I received my promo code here a months ago and want to share a review. Overall, I am pleased with the software and it pays for itself. Here are the pros and cons of the software.

Pro: It was easy to install and integrate into my shopping cart. The interface has two options on how to integrate and it allowed me to totally integrate. So far support is good, but only had one question.

Con: They have a knowledgebase with a few articles on how to integrate and get more affiliates users, but there are only a few articles. I have only had a few sales from affiliates, I was hoping once I launched to have more, but hopefully I will get more soon, it has only been a month. Overall I am happy.

Really upset with this service and we’ll never use it or suggest it to anyone.

We’ve been using it for the past few months for a highly, highly visible e-commerce site of ours to which we had been using the affiliate software with some of top Alexa ranking blogs and media sites (one of our largest relationships is with a blogger with an Alexa ranking of 1,000 with thousands upon thousands of unique people on her website daily) and a few days ago, they had a MALWARE issue on their site.

So, of course, with their codes being embedded into our ecommerce site and ALL of contacts using image links through the Omni Star program, EVERY SINGLE ONE of the sites came up as potentially having Malware on the sites with big red flags and warnings. It almost cost us relationships with our contacts because the average internet user doesn’t tie both circumstances together (that it wasn’t our fault, it was the affiliate site coming up as malware).

When we called to inquire, all we got was “it’s been taken care of” and that they “were aware of it.” The issue lasted probably 5 hours and really, under normal circumstances, it wouldn’t be a big issue probably for most sites… but with-in those 5 hours, thousands and thousands of people browsing our network of affiliates and our ecommerce site saw these warnings. This was incredibly upsetting for us and the fact that they didn’t even tell us about it by e-mail or give explanation added insult to injury.

If you’re a professional or are trying to build up a reputation of a brand, FORGET about Omni Star.

  3. Again thanks for the promo code. Was very helpful.

  4. William says:

Worst support I’ve experienced yet. Left multiple e-mails and voicemails. Software does not track correctly for my site not that Omnistar cares now that they have my money.

I must express some thanks to this writer for rescuing me from such a dilemma. Just after searching throughout the internet and meeting notions which were not pleasant, I believed my life was over. Being alive without the strategies to the issues you have sorted out by means of your main posting is a critical case, as well as the kind which might have badly damaged my career if I hadn’t noticed the website. Your own know-how and kindness in controlling every item was crucial. I don’t know what I would’ve done if I hadn’t come across such a subject like this. I can at this time look ahead to my future. Thanks a lot so much for your reliable and effective guide. I won’t hesitate to recommend your web page to anybody who will need counselling about this topic.

I find it amusing how they use Infusionsoft to sell and manage their clients,,,, to me that is a major fail in company reliability considering they are selling the very software that is supposed to be managing the process…

  7. Jeremy Lewis says:

I prefer Omnistar Affiliate Software for my affiliate software solution because it was easy to setup and it is easy to maintain.

  8. Mark Johnson says:

I got a promo code from this site about two weeks ago and got Omnistar installed and I am very happy. I thought I should share my experience, because the process was so smooth and I already have five affiliates that signed up in the last two weeks. The software is so easy to use and they installed it for me. I would recommend this software to anyone looking to get an affiliate program going.

  9. Anon says:

I’m a freelance developer who was paid to do some work related to the omnistar affiliate software (things like rebranding, changing a few link names, so on and so forth).

From a technical perspective, the omnistar affiliate software is crap. They have internationalization and then embed html directly into it (a really bad idea). Adding a field to the signup form breaks it half the time, and if you’re looking to change the text of a link, be prepared for a boisterous romp through the badlands of omnistar’s system, because you have about a 33% chance of that link being defined in the file itself, a 33% chance of it being defined somewhere in the database, and a 33% chance that the link is defined in their internationalization files (which is laughable at best).

In short, if you plan on doing any type of changes to the software itself, be prepared to pay more than you expected to in terms of development time. Whereas another system might simply put the link directly in the PHP page, omnistar shows us there’s another way to do it…

Thanks for the terific blog! Your information was helpful, especially on how to use SEO, keyword optimization, Pay Per Click, Pay Per Performance, Pay Per Email, Pay Per Action Adwords to my best advantage for my affiliate software review site. I also loved how you set up this blog with all your affiliate offrs and banners, clean and crisp without overwelming the reader.
Thanks for the ideas and tips!

it would be very much necessary for people to acquire the necessary software that would help them get traffic in terms of affiliate marketing since the competition is high.

  12. Frank says:

I am a bit amuzed at the article because so far the Omnistar Affiliate program was the worse affiliate program I even encountered.

A full week after purchase and setup their “support” staff are still unable to resolve problems with the program and it’s still pretty useless for me.

Even while Omnistar also sell “live support” software I could not even ONCE during this week connect with any “operator” and are always reverted back to a helpdesk contact form.

I in fact even 3 times asked for contact with a manager because I have a few GOOD suggestions but even that was just ignored like all the other complaints.

  13. Arnold says:

I think better affiliate software as OSIAffiliate is Post Affiliate Pro.
Latest versions of Post Affiliate Pro has multiple features, which I miss in OSIAffiliate (e.g. Rebranding of PDF files for my affiliates, better reporting tools, etc.).

I have experiences with both systems and my personal preference is definitely Post Affiliate Pro.

    It’s a great article.Thanks for your sharing.

  15. Great post. I especially liked your suggestion which stated that “an affiliate marketer should explore all the means of promoting sales like, SEO, keyword optimization, Pay Per Click, Pay Per Performance, Pay Per Email, Pay Per Action Adwords and so on.” This is very important for any affiliate marketer to key in mind.

  16. Thanks for promo code
