Shinjiru Hosting Sucks – Gets Eaten by Hostgator for Real!
A while back, I had posted news about server troubles and this website slowing down for two full days. During that time, I contacted Shinjiru Hosting company (I had them as my host because Bob was already hosting this website with Shinjiru). The tech support really sucks at Shinjiru because they literally forced me to switch to their VPS hosting by saying that my site had grown too big (that was not really the case which I found out later). I did that and guess what, the very next day they declared that I must switch to their level II VPS hosting which was even costlier. So, I did that. End of story.
To my surprise, I would never have found out how Shinjiru was ripping me off, if I hadn’t tried Hostgator to host my website two weeks back. Their shared hosting is far far better than Shinjiru’s VPS hosting (supposed to be level II of some sort). One of the posts on this website even got stumbled a lot during the last one week but there was absolutely no slowdown. Cheers to Hostgator!
What makes this episode even more entertaining is the following piece of chat today with their support coordinator who goes by the e-mail : traxport [at] msn [dot] com. Just observe how calm they are, even when they totally suck at hosting.

*Here is just today’s (9/1/2008) problems sent to FSS by the CROOKS at Shinjiru themselves. FYI..the reason that Shinjiru shut down FSS..The Free Speech Store (http://freespeechstore.com) was not because we are spammers, because we are not. It is because we sued a dishonest Blocklist, ahbl.org (run by a convicted felon, Brian Bruns, for computers crimes..hacking). He blocked Shinjiru’s entire IP range for our dedicated server and Shinjiru shut us down instead of researching the allegation. Thusly, succumbing to the the felon, extortionist, and PUNK Bruns & his partner in crime, Andrew Kirch (trelane.net). Shinjiru is nothing more than a band of cowards with no business ethics, basically, spineless WEASELS!! Not only that, the CROOKS kept our money and did not allow us to transfer our database out of their data centers. Nice folks, huh? Now, every opportunity I get to worn people about these SLIMEBALLS, I do it. Shinjiru, clearly sucks! They now rue the day that they did not research this issue! Sales are down at Shinjiru…GREAT NEWS! Shinjiru will not get up for air…BRAVO FSS!

Yeah, I must agree with the Shinjiru suckiness. Hosted there for two years, and every week I had downtime. In the end they shut down my servers with no warning, and refused to give me a refund (had just payed for 3 months).
Shinjiru must die! Do NOT host there.
I hate this. I’m currently using exabytes linux hosting and they suck like hell. I was thinking of moving to shinjiru, then i saw this post!!

I am having the same problem like Jai. Those retards don’t know how to maintain/configure their server. Still using the lame ass 32 bits setup on the Linux box. I signed up with their service and then got forced to shift to VPS after 2 months due to my traffic from 1~50 up to average 600 unique per day. Another thing they like to shift your a/c here and there from one box to another which leads to even worse performance server compared to the initial setup.
Then I shifted to bluehost.com shared package and the site is up with 100% uptime till to date. Never got any lag, datacenter problem, power failure and all those bull shits.
Can some tell me which Hosting provider is good.
I am small time web designer
need reseller hosting
but don’t know which one to choose.
