You can add small stars cut off from tin foil and scatter it as well on the tables.

It is somewhat ridiculous that some people still believe that

Spot on with this write-up, I absolutely believe this web site
needs a great deal more attention. I’ll probably be back again to read
more, thanks for the information!

I’m amazed, I must say. Rarely do I encounter a blog that’s both equally educative and amusing,
and without a doubt, you have hit the nail on the head.
The issue is something that not enough men and
women are speaking intelligently about. Now i’m very happy I found this during my
hunt for something concerning this.

Hey just wanted to give you a brief heads up and let you know a few of the images aren’t loading properly.
I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue.
I’ve tried it in two different browsers and both show the same outcome.

Thank you for this lovely theme. I was looking for a simple, blue, 2-column theme with a realtively small splash-image size since yesterday and in this one I finally found it. I will use it on my blog about web-concepts and information architecture soon. Will keep you posted. Thank you once again and kind regards. Michael

Has anyone worked out why the main content window is not white on firefox 3 and IE8? It works in compatability mode.

Hi,
I am playing around with this theme and notice that it does not display the trackback url at the bottom of each post. Isn’t this important? How easy or difficult would it be for me to add it on the single.php page? I tried using this code but the tracking url didn’t turn out right:

<a href=””>Trackback This Post |
<a href=””>Subscribe to the comments through RSS Feed

So there must be more to it.

Please help… I am interested in keeping the theme.

Hello, I was wondering how to change the main link color for the Blue Box theme? I have had no problem tweaking many aspects of this theme through style.css, but for the life of me I cannot find out how to change link color (i.e. news header links etc.) any help is greatly appreciated

Mike Reply

Thanks for the update. I dropped the “_rss” and it worked for one month. Once I restarted the browser it worked perfectly!

Thanks again.

Hi. Love the theme. I’m wondering if there is a way to show the photos from the catagory or archive views. At this point only the header and text shows…

Thanks!

Used this theme for my blog, even if I changed all the graphical part, and added some plugins and that.

Anyway, it was my first blog, or website with wordpress, and it helped me a lot. So thank you VERY much for this theme 🙂

When I use the Blue Box theme the title for the site in the header says ‘Blue Box’, whereas the other themes I have use my site name tomburgess.net. What do I need to do to get Blue Box to use my site name too?

Brad E Reply

Thanks SteveM….

But if I remove the mainbck.gif, which creates a variable length sidebar area, what would then create that variable length colored background in its place?

Thanks – Brad

I had the same trouble at first with the light blue sidebar. It’s not a color – it’s a graphic repeated in the Y-axis. It’s a full width (800 pixel) x 1pixel high .gif image called mainbck.gif. You’ll find it is styled as #mainbck and is the last line of the header.php file.

Considering the single pixel high gif image could all be styled in CSS, it’s an old fashioned technique mixed in with the new. Bluebox is a nice template but has many quirks like this one.

My suggestion is to remove it (the image in the mainbck ID) – it slows the rendering down on the page. The days of single pixel high/wide/square images to render pages was made obsolete with CSS.

Hope this helps.

Hi…

I’m new to WP and just found this killer theme! Thanx!

I’m poking around in the CSS (I’m new to that too) trying to find out where the right sidebar is set to light blue – but can’t find it.

Can anyone help?

Thanx a bunch – Brad

I’m using this template and I like it a lot, but I desire to cut automatic special pages like that.
I just desire to show complete articles when clicking on categories, I hope someone can help me.
best regards

I really like this theme, however, I’d like to get rid of the Blue Box text in the upper left corner and replace it with my blog’s title. I’m quite retarded and probably won’t be able to figure this one out on my own, so if you could help me with this problem, I’d really appreciate it.

Thanks.

Thanks for the theme. I edited the hell out of the CSS and am using it at my blog. This theme makes a very good base for editing your own theme!

Hi Bob !

How can I exclude pages from the main navbar in the header ? I don’t like all static pages there …

Thanks a lot …

Hey… I discovered Blue Box 0.1 the other day and am now using it on my blog, Squirrels Go Like This. I think it’s a very attractive and simple design!

I had one minor issue adapting it. I used the .psd file to change the title at the top from Blue Box to Squirrels Go Like This. The sample image is plenty wide enough to do this, but when rendered in FireFox 2.0.x, it chopped off the word “this” on both MacOS and Linux. I had to edit style.css to set the width of the image (in addition to the height attribute, which was already set to 51), in order to see the entire thing.

I’m sure I’ll tweak the theme further. Thanks!

how do i switch the splash.gif image into a splash.jpg? Gifs just don’t cut it for me but I can’t seem to find anything that says splash.gif as an image link. thanks!

Bob, I love this theme! It’s hard to find a clean, simple theme that is customized so easily. In addition, the colors seem to match many different images. Keep up the good work!

Hey,
I am using your theme and have already added a lot of plugins and stuff. I been keeping it really tidy and as organized as possible. I do have one problem though. In IE all the text for every widget seems to be ‘centered’. While in Firefox it looks like I want it (Aligned to the right). I think it looks better with the latter. If you can help me with that it would be great! Try posting something in my site so I remember lol. Thanks again!

Bob-O,
Great theme. Like others I’ve modified it a bit. Still giving you credits in the footer. I have a question though. Why did you create a separate rsidebar.php file for the sidebar? I am going to move the rsidebar.php content back into sidebar.php but before I do just wanted to know if there was a particular reason for this. Also it seems you removed white space from the CSS file to save space. But I think there are some unused styles in there. I haven’t found out where all the .bob styles are used. Any ideas?
Thanks and keep up the good work.

Hi Bob, I’m having problems using the search widget for this theme. Wherever I put it, it doesn’t display correctly as if it is missing a “return” as the next widget displays alongside it rather than underneath it. Do you have any ideas why this might be?

I just love this design for one of my blogs.

I just wonder why the image doesn’t appear after completing the download. Excuse my technical ignorance, but I just like to know if I should design my own header (image)?

Thanks.

I love this theme – and in fact, modified it for use on my blog – though I made sure to keep you credited at the bottom of it.

Again, much thanks for great themes to use and/or modify!!!

Hi. I love your theme!
It’s simple, beautiful and neat!
Thank you very much!

I have a question about category order.

I tried some plugins to change order of categories but when I see my blog, a half of the browser becomes yellow and gave me an error message and some codes.

Is there any way you recommend to change order?

I’ve been using WordPress for only 2 months and your Blue box is the first theme I ever tried!

Great work!!!

I’m using this theme. How do I remove the border around the images? I can’t seem to find it in the CSS file. That file is a bit jumbled and not labeled. Great template though! hehe. 🙂

Nice theme. I will be using it in my blog network shortly. Will keep you updated. Hm… think I will be using quite a number of ur themes. 😛
