WordPress Theme – Urbane
I am glad to announce a brand new free WordPress theme called “Urbane”.
This is a crisp rounded theme that comes with lots of features like built in drop-down menus, Feedburner settings (RSS and Subscribe by e-mail), Twitter, Tabs for Popular/Recent posts, Featured post section, 3 sections to pull posts from different categories on home page, auto generated thumbnails (for both home and the single entry page), threaded comments, widgetized sidebars and 3 widgetized sections on the bottom. On top of all this, Urbane comes with integrated theme options that let you specify categories to use on the home page, configure your feedburner/twitter settings and much more.
The theme has been tested with Firefox, Internet Explorer 7 and Safari and works without any problems.
Setting up the theme
- Download and extract the theme. Place it in wp-content/themes section of your WordPress installation.
- Setup the different categories/theme options on the home page by going to wp-admin -> Appearance -> Urbane Options
- For the thumbnails, just upload images to your posts (no need to insert them). The scripts will make thumbnails automatically.
- To enable threaded comments, go to wp-admin -> Settings -> Discussion -> Enable Threaded comments

how do we add a class to navigation bar so that child pages don’t have a same styling as parent pages?
they have a transparent background in the parent pages, does not work for the child page links to have the same…

Hi there, love this theme. you mentioned that the thumbnail issue is fixed. Well I just downloaded the theme and it still has an issue placing the thumbnails in (meaning they do not appear)

You really did a good job by creating this theme. I really love it for real. But there is one thing I want to ask you. Where did we get our Feddburner ID?? a numeric one, because I sign up to feedburner after this site integrate with google and I only got feed name (mine is “ferryprima”). I search for my Feedburner ID but I only get this “k1itnpmmout4ag24ifqel39gb0″ (I got this when I go to my feedburner account and see the address in my browser which shows ” http://feedburner.google.com/f.....ifqel39gb0 “.
Could you please help for this one?? Thanks before jay. I would appreciate if you email me the solution to my email I used for comment

@Jai:- I think I found the error. It was the way the function to generate thumbnails was being used. Till now, it was only picking up images that are posted as an attachment.
Anyway, I have update the theme. Everything works now guys. Check it
