It can be considered as a crash course for all the people who are struggling to get better search engine results with their Wordpress blogs. just one problem. When I used the custom permalinks it screwed up all the category links and page links - got a 404 redirect error. Post links worked pefectly.

I read your ebook and found it useful. I had been practicing a lot of the techniques you suggested.
I did add a bunch of the suggested ping sites though. Thanks for that.
May I suggest, as an add-on to this, a plugin from MaxBlogPress.com called Ping Optimizer.
It will prevent pings for edits and pings for future time-stamped posts. These type of pings, when in excess, can get your blog labeled as a spam site.

Is there some numbers to tell which methods are most effective?
For example, how effective is the ping service?
It is said if I update my site too frequently, Ping service could block me.
