Blue Box is a 2-columns and Widget-ready theme. Simple theme and suitable for any blog content. Come with splash image below the menu navigation. The splash size is a 800px width and 150px height. You can replace splash.gif with your own. OK guy time to break. Next entry i’ll try to make simple tips & tutorial about “How To Build Your Own Wordpress Theme“. PSD for logo text included in images folder. Font? yeah, i use Qlassik Font. You may download Qlassik font at Dafont.com

The advent of broadband has indeed brightened every business opportunity. Due to numerous cheap web hosting options, there has been rapid progress in internet marketing. Regardless of web design, now there are quite a few websites associated with each business. This means even more search engine submission.

Nice theme. I will be using it in my blog network shortly. Will keep you updated. Hm… think I will be using quite a number of ur themes.
Nice theme!
I’m using this theme. How do I remove the border around the images? I can’t seem to find it in the CSS file. That file is a bit jumbled and not labeled. Great template though! hehe.
trench@ thanks
ok, open file style.css and put this
.entry img {border:0;}
at anywhere.
thanks. I’ll be adding rotating headers, and some other customized stuff soon. Using your template is a base. THANKS AGAIN!!!
trench@ yeah, rotating banner below header will be great.
Nice Theme. I took it as base for a project page on our university. i hope u like it.

Hey, I am using your ‘Blue Box’ them with really minor modifications. Thanks, it’s a really sharp looking theme, simple but looks great!
Grunwalski@ great! sound cool ya!
Nathan@ Thanks, nice pics there
Hi. I love your theme!
It’s simple, beautiful and neat!
Thank you very much!
I have a question about category order.
I tried some plugins to change order of categories but when I see my blog, a half of the browser becomes yellow and gave me an error message and some codes.
Is there any way you recommend to change order?
I’ve been using Wordpress for only 2 months and your Blue box is the first theme I ever tried!
Great work!!!
I love this theme - and in fact, modified it for use on my blog - though I made sure to keep you credited at the bottom of it.
Again, much thanks for great themes to use and/or modify!!!
I just love this design for one of my blogs.
I just wonder why the image doesn’t appear after completing the download. Excuse my technical ignorance, but I just like to know if I should design my own header (image)?
Thanks.
I’m trying to use this theme, but it will not work in IE! Only FireFox!!! Any help?!?!?

Hi Bob, I’m having problems using the search widget for this theme. Wherever I put it, it doesn’t display correctly as if it is missing a “return” as the next widget displays alongside it rather than underneath it. Do you have any ideas why this might be?
Gary
Bob-O,
Great theme. Like others I’ve modified it a bit. Still giving you credits in the footer. I have a question though. Why did you create a separate rsidebar.php file for the sidebar? I am going to move the rsidebar.php content back into sidebar.php but before I do just wanted to know if there was a particular reason for this. Also it seems you removed white space from the CSS file to save space. But I think there are some unused styles in there. I haven’t found out where all the .bob styles are used. Any ideas?
Thanks and keep up the good work.

Hey,
I am using your theme and have already added a lot of plugins and stuff. I been keeping it really tidy and as organized as possible. I do have one problem though. In IE all the text for every widget seems to be ‘centered’. While in Firefox it looks like I want it (Aligned to the right). I think it looks better with the latter. If you can help me with that it would be great! Try posting something in my site so I remember lol. Thanks again!
Hi Bob, thanks for the blue box theme, love it.
Also signed up to auction adds, thanks.
It can be seen in action here:

Any tips for me?
Thanks
Bob, I love this theme! It’s hard to find a clean, simple theme that is customized so easily. In addition, the colors seem to match many different images. Keep up the good work!
Hi - This theme goes all funny when upgraded to wordpress 2.3.1 but only in firefox - whats the fix?
hello, could you possibly tell me how to can i disable pages appearing on the header if i only want them to appear on the sidebar and vice versa? thank you!
Thanks for this clean and simple theme Bob - it’s being put to good use on my blog!
I like this blog. been looking for good theme. May have to go with this one.
Hey Bob Great theme all i would like to do is use the style.css is that posible and re create the layout?
as My own? for an official website?
simple and yet compatible. blog is easy to operated –added in my group of blogs
Hi Bob, i start using the blue box theme and it looks great. However i have question. Is it possible to change the color of the right side box, using the style.css file?
Thx, Hans
yes its possible. And ask in the forums if you have more questions.
how do i switch the splash.gif image into a splash.jpg? Gifs just don’t cut it for me but I can’t seem to find anything that says splash.gif as an image link. thanks!
Hey… I discovered Blue Box 0.1 the other day and am now using it on my blog, Squirrels Go Like This. I think it’s a very attractive and simple design!
I had one minor issue adapting it. I used the .psd file to change the title at the top from Blue Box to Squirrels Go Like This. The sample image is plenty wide enough to do this, but when rendered in FireFox 2.0.x, it chopped off the word “this” on both MacOS and Linux. I had to edit style.css to set the width of the image (in addition to the height attribute, which was already set to 51), in order to see the entire thing.
I’m sure I’ll tweak the theme further. Thanks!
Hi Bob !
Thanks for the nice theme.
How can I exclude pages from the main navbar in the header ? I don’t like all static pages there …
Thanks a lot …
CaKo
Thanks for the theme. I edited the hell out of the CSS and am using it at my blog. This theme makes a very good base for editing your own theme!
Can anybody tell me where I should make changes to change date format?
Is BlueBox compatible with wordpress 2.5 ?
I really like this theme, however, I’d like to get rid of the Blue Box text in the upper left corner and replace it with my blog’s title. I’m quite retarded and probably won’t be able to figure this one out on my own, so if you could help me with this problem, I’d really appreciate it.
Thanks.
This was my first time using wordpress, css, and php. I used BlueBox as a starting point, and as I’ve figured out what various things do, I’ve continued to build on it. I appreciate the simplicity and stylishness, both make it easy to use and build on. Lot’s of learning to do still! www.campcross.org
@Chase: I am glad that you liked the theme. Simple things create more effect on the human mind.
I’m using this template and I like it a lot, but I desire to cut automatic special pages lke that: http://wpthemes.blogohblog.net/?cat=3
I just desire to show complete articles when clicking on categories, I hope someone can help me.
best regards
Hi…
I’m new to WP and just found this killer theme! Thanx!
I’m poking around in the CSS (I’m new to that too) trying to find out where the right sidebar is set to light blue - but can’t find it.
Can anyone help?
Thanx a bunch - Brad
A quick thank you for this theme. I’m running it on a couple of blogs and think it works really well.

I had the same trouble at first with the light blue sidebar. It’s not a color - it’s a graphic repeated in the Y-axis. It’s a full width (800 pixel) x 1pixel high .gif image called mainbck.gif. You’ll find it is styled as #mainbck and is the last line of the header.php file.
Considering the single pixel high gif image could all be styled in CSS, it’s an old fashioned technique mixed in with the new. Bluebox is a nice template but has many quirks like this one.
My suggestion is to remove it (the image in the mainbck ID) - it slows the rendering down on the page. The days of single pixel high/wide/square images to render pages was made obsolete with CSS.
Hope this helps.
Thanks SteveM….
But if I remove the mainbck.gif, which creates a variable length sidebar area, what would then create that variable length colored background in its place?
Thanks - Brad
