WordPress Theme – Businezz!
It gives me immense happiness to present to all my blog readers, a brand new free WordPress theme called Businezz! As you can guess by its name, this is a business styled theme which can be used by anyone wishing to launch a company,corporate or business website/portfolio. Businezz sports a crisp design that will add value to any blog/website that implements it.
The theme comes with a ready-to-use homepage and a separate blog page for your posts. All the different segments of the home page have been designed keeping in mind how a company website should look. The home page can be easily set up from the theme options that have been integrated with the WordPress admin section. For the blog, all you have to do is make a new page and choose its page template as the “blog template”. So basically, this a two in one theme 
Instructions to Set up the theme
The different sections of the home page include:-
- Business Links & Phone Number (configurable)
- Slideshow (category & no. of posts configurable)
- About the Company (category configurable)
- Testimonials (category & no. of testimonials configurable)
- Latest Company News in the Sidebar (no. of posts configurable)
On the Blog template (for blog page that you will create), you can toggle the thumbnails and also toggle between excerpt and full post views. The blog template comes with ready-to-use pagination so you don’t have to install any other plugin to create page numbers. Its already done for you!
To prove all of the above, here is a screen shot of the theme options that are provided with the theme :-
The theme comes with threaded comments capability which you can enable by going to wp-admin -> settings -> discussion. There are two widgetized sidebars in the theme – one for the home page and one for the inner sections like the blog, pages and single posts.
And before I forget, for configuring the social bookmarking links in the footer, you will have to physically edit the footer.php file and replace your own links (should be an easy process – I am here if someone needs help ).

Gave this a spin for a new website project but seems to have very limited customization. I can’t remove the links widget on the side bar nor can I add any widgets. Not much on colour choices either. I downloaded it thinking I could do a lot with it but it would seem the opposite is true.
It seems quite fascinating! I look forward to play with it and test its settings! Good job creator!!

would like to set up main page similar to your example with slideshow on top, content below, then testimonials…first, not sure how to get slideshow working, have set up posts with images, then set default post category to the one I want, what’s next? Am I missing something? thanks
On my site using this template, on the main page it says Featured. I can not seem to edit this main page and can not figure out how to change anything on the main page. I am new to wordpress and have figures out how to edit new pages and add things to it but this main page is stumping me to no end. Thanks in advance for someones time.

I tried to implement at least 5 different plugins with gallery slider but every single messed the image slider from this template after turned-on. Need to find different theme unfortunately.

Agreed. This is a very nice ‘clean’ theme. The only change I would make is to have the slider automatically rotate instead of needing to click on the numbers.

Whilss it is a great theme it is not easy to work with and I see I am having the same problem as everyone else the slide show does not work nor the thumbnail post. Some brief instructions would save a lot of time.

Hi. I’m setting up a blog for my dad’s business and I’m relatively new at this, so I apologize in advance if my question is particularly dumb. I have managed to get just about everything to work the way I want it to, but when I post “featured” posts, they do not make a slideshow. Instead they all just appear on the front page without any option to scroll through them. If you could please tell me what I’m doing wrong, I’d really appreciate it. I have a question. I’m new to this and just uploaded your wordpress theme. I wanted the theme because I love the pictures. I have uploaded it and it is running but it is not looking like I thought that it should. There is no big picture on the top of the page with the option to scroll through pictures and five posts. Also, there are not little pictures on the bottom with testimonials. Is that something special that I have to add myself?

Just upload images with your post and also dont’ forget to define the slideshow category in admin settings.

Jai, I got the slide show working – it was Analyticator screwing with it.
Now everything’s fine except the Read More under excerpts does not pick up the post link – it just goes to the main blog link. Any ideas? Thanks

Site was working fine, and then I added some plugins to help with SEO. Now the slide show is gone and the posts appear like a blog on the home page. Any ideas what may have “disconnected” the slide show? I know, you’d have to know the plugins, but I did several. Would changing the permalink structure mess with the slide show?

Yes. Plugins can kill the theme if they are messy.

I am having a little trouble on the blog page numbers at the bottom of the blog page. It will not advance to the remaining posts and only goes to the home page. You can see where I am working with it here: http://TweetpeaMedia.com. (I’m making a sample site to show potential customers.)

Great looking theme – I’ll be recommending it to clients.
2 things:
* Is it WP v.3 compatible?
* Does it support theme updates? (I’d like to see things like the Contactform 7 issue fixed)

Just a heads up.
The theme is great, but it is conflicting with Contact Form 7, wich is a sad thing, as that is one hellof’a good contact plugin.
It is the slider that gets messed up when activating Contact Form 7.

I love your theme, it was just what i was looking for.
I have a small question though. In a post i have created i have specified the size the image should display as and its click able to open full size in another window. the problem i am having is that since it is a “featured” post the image size comes massively large in the slide show totally ruining the formating of the main page. i am obviously doing something wrong. Is there a precribed size i need to make my images to fit in that slideshow area or can the size be defined if the image is too large?

I don’t find Joomla as powerful as WordPress and its very complicated from a layman’s prespective.

hi, you don’t have to fix anything. i think you are using another slideshow plugin on your wordpress. if you disable it businezz theme’s slideshow will work.

Quick question – if a business does not want to put testimonials on their site (ie. some industries like finance, healthcare, etc. can run into problems with testimonials) is it easy to remove that section or replace it with some other content?

That is not possible. They are just the pages that you create in your wordpress. Are you sure you are not using any plugin that is conflicting?

Yes. All I have done is installed WordPress latest version and then your theme.
The theme does work for me, but there seems to be a lot of options missing and I just cant get those pages to apear in the top left or the image rotator fetaured section to work etc.
all i can so is post to it and different categories like normal wordpress.
I am going to try again on a different server and see if i have any problems with it there.

Great theme as always, and after reading your comment about validation, I never really bothered with it TOO much, but now that I think about it, especially with WordPress, it can easily be made so that the person using the theme just makes everything non-validated.
The theme is great. This will be perfect for a project I am working on. One thing though is there a way to get the 1-5 to auto change?

I don’t worry about the validation much
It has never been my priority. And by the way, with complicated things like WordPress themes, its really time consuming 
. Now consider this scenario :-
An average Joe who doesn’t know anything about validation, takes the theme and posts a picture without the alt tag or as a matter of fact does something that negates the validation. All my effort is wasted.
So, if someone loves validation so much that he cannot breathe without it – he is welcome to do it himself. He might learn a thing or two in the process.
