WordPress Theme – Nublu
All right guys! I am back again (still alive and kicking). This time, I bring for my lovely readers a brand new WordPress theme called “Nublu“.
This is a sleek blue colored theme that comes with a configurable slider, drop-down menus and Cufon-enabled headlines. The theme also sports a twitter bird that will sing out your latest tweet from your Twitter.com account. Nublu has automatic thumbnail generation, as long as you have a picture uploaded with your post. WordPress 3.0+ menu system is integrated into this theme for easy customization of your navigation menu.
Nublu Theme is totally free to download and has been tested with all the major browsers.
Instructions
The theme is mostly plug and play. You can configure your slider and the social icons from the Appearance -> Nublu options in the admin section of WordPress. For the 125×125 ads, just open up the file called sidebar.php and edit the code.
For the logo image, just replace the logo.png in the images folder with one of your own. Make sure that its a transparent PNG image.

I like this theme! Unfortunately it got me an error opening the newspage in the home:

Unfortunately even with clean install, clean database, same script error.
I cannot find the logo.png file within the image folder. I found a logo.gif but it is not the image of “Nublu Theme’ in the top left corner. Any help on finding this file so I can change out the image?

Fantastic theme. I almost changed to a different theme as I was having problems customising the logo. Not sure if anybody will be interested in how to increase the height to accommodate a larger logo but it was more complex than i expected.
I increased the header and logo heights in the css file but this did not resolve my issue with the my logo. It turns out I also had to amend the top.png file and increase the canvas size at the top to allow the extra height to accommodate my logo.
Once you’ve done this, however, you will notice that your twitter feed text is no longer centred in the twitter cloud and appears well above it. Just increase your tweet top height in the css file so that the text is shifted down until you get it aligned correctly in the cloud.
Hope this might help someone who wishes to fit a larger logo into this theme.

¿can I remove or modify the credits from the theme?
I have researched if it is legal to modify the credits and I found that it is legal, because WordPress is under a GPL license and the themes are running in wordpress, but I want to know if you as the creator of the theme allow me to modify the credits.
I want to know it, because I must translate the theme to use it and I don’t want to waste the time
Hello there. Very pretty theme. I’ve tried to install it and it seems to work. However when I activate the theme, WP keeps hanging on a blanc screen. Any suggestions to make it work? Thanks.

Installed this theme, but having hard times configuring and set it.
I can’t see my featured post picture and also post picture? where should i save the picture and what name?
On my website (http://wordpressinstall.cialliance.net) the link for choosing the “featured image” in a post is now missing. When i first set up the website/theme the link appeared and worked fine as you can see in my older test posts which have featured images. I’m not talking about the image slider, but the picture next to each post. Does anyone know how to get the add featured image link back?
I’m having the same issue. I cannot see the link for featured image. So my slider does not show the image.
I fixed my problem by replacing the “zt_get_thumbnail” function with the standard wordpress featured image code found on this website.

I really liked the look of this theme, but in the end found it very troublesome…….
1) no support at least showing on the public side
2) in the Linked In Id section, it would not allow me to place my id and keep it there after publishing
3) Kept opening up bloohblog facebook page………
SUGGESTION….those fields should be BLANK ….only allowing personal entries
4) Could not place my blog title where NUBLU header was…
so delete theme and start again…unless the bugs are worked out…I won’t be back

Everything works except for the blog title. I can’t seem to get cufon to to work. It just remains as NuBlu. I’ve installed WP-Cufon but still can’t get it to work. Is there something I need to do inparticular?
I should add that I’ve also copied the font the a fonts folder under
wp-content/plugins/fonts
I cannot get the twitter thing to work at the top right of the page in IE. The spinner loader just sits there. Works great in Chrome. Any one else having these issues? If so how did you fix it?

I have found possibly where the issue lies. If you open slidshow.php and remove this script from the top:

The error stops, so i suspect there is an error with one of the values.
I am now trying to find what the error is. If anyone can help me on this it would appreciate it.
Update: If you drop the code back in:

and keep the feature catergory as Uncatergorized the error does not show. It is only whne you add a catergory name that the error shows.
So, has the jquery problem been solved yet? I also created new categories and now my site won’t even show at all in Chrome due to the jquery error.

I had the problem that the page hung when loading, and thanks to Danny OCal I think I’ve tracked it down to the Slideshow Category setting. This has to be valid, but has to be the category slug, not the category name. And the original problem was that it defaults to Uncategorized, a category that I don’t have.

I do have a few questions, though.
It seems that I have to resize my images to fit properly in the post area. I had an image that was 300px wide and the text was overlapping on top of the picture. I edited the theme so that the image would stay 300px and the text would go on to the next line, but was wondering if there was a way that the theme could automatically resize my image to 155px wide (which was the original setting).
I also wonder if there is specific instructions for this theme. I’ve been using wordpress for a while but I always get into trouble with the more complex themes. I have only basic understanding of code. But this theme is so great that I really want to understand its dynamics so that I can use it and make it look good.

This is the logo image in the images folder of the theme. Just replace the image with one of your own.
where are you finding the “images folder” in the nublu theme?

The Featured item only shows the title of the image and the story but doesn’t show an actual image. How can I change this, is it a permission issue?

The theme uses Cufon Font replacement script for the titles. So, just go to header.php and remove the cufon calls.

This is such a nice theme! I’m planning on using it for my personal resume website.
However, I have a problem. I’m a Frenchman and my website will be written in French. The problem is that the accents (eg. in ‘Catégories’) won’t display (the accented character simply won’t appear, ‘Catégories’ become ‘Catgories’). I suppose the problem come from a PHP function.
Can somebody please help me ?

I solve the problem. I didn’t have a default category, this was the problem. I config a category in the Slideshow Category and the problem was solved. Thanks for this theme, is very beatiful.
Love the Theme but had to install my old template because of the same problem, the slider just crashes the whole blog, Anyway! too bad!! nice template if it didnt have this bug.

I really like this template and have set it up locally and it’s looking great. The place I need to host it is set up as a multi-site wordpress install. So the thumbs/timthumb page isn’t working. I’ve seen several solutions for getting timthumb to work with a multisite install, but I’m not sure how to edit the theme since it searches for the images in the posts.
Any ideas?
