WordPress Theme – Tutorial Theme

As always, Blog Oh! Blog will never stop releasing free WordPress themes for all you cool people. So, if you thought that in the race for premium themes, Blog Oh! Blog has forgotten to release any free themes, here you go!

There was a time when I wanted to start a Photoshop Tutorials website and searched the Internet for WordPress themesΒ  that will make my blog look like a tutorial website. All my searches were futile and a waste of time as I could not find any theme that does it for me. So, now when I do create free WordPress themes, I thought why not create one myself πŸ™‚

So, here you go:-

WordPress Tutorials Theme

Tutorial Theme is the first of its kind WordPress Themes, especially designed for running a tutorials website. The theme has been modified in a way where you can make your posts look like actual tutorials. So, now you do not need to hunt anywhere else for a free or paid tutorials script. WordPress has its own Tutorials theme. The back-end work is handled by WordPress and all YOU have to do is post tutorials and more tutorials!

This tutorials theme uses the custom fields to display the thumbnails in front of your posts. So, when writing a post (entering a tutorial), just go to the custom fields box on the bottom of the admin section and define a new key called “thumb”, and for the key value you will have to add the path to your uploaded thumbnail (you get this path when you upload an image to your WordPress). There is a readme file in the theme folder which will explain the steps to you in detail. Enjoy and don’t forget to leave feedback. You haven’t been doing so lately πŸ™‚

I was just looking for this info for a while. After six hours of continuous Googleing, finally I got it in your website. I wonder what is the lack of Google strategy that do not rank this kind of informative sites in top of the list. Normally the top web sites are full of garbage.

Thx very much for helping me so quickly with the above issue. All has been resolved and I have sent a small donation.

I am using your themes on several other sites and given the fact that I have received such outstanding service from a free theme, I am truely impressed.

Jai is obviously someone who is serious about producing quality and I would use your paid services without question.

all the best

Hello

I have modfied your tutorial theme in order to organize my client’s free samples for them.

Everything is working fine and the notes for uploading photos was specific. BUT this is the problem:

Whenever, you need more pages (for example you only have ten posts on the homepage) and I have over 500 items, the next pages show broken graphics. Likewise, when you call up the categories, the post show broken graphics.

THis does not make sense to me since there is no archive page, nor category.php so it must call the index page – why will the graphics only show on the homepage and they are broken on the following pages?

I am desparate to fix this – you may email me please and if I can get this working immediately, I am happy to send a donation.

act, i’m not sure how to get the thumbnails to load. I read the β€œinstructions” but am not sure what file to edit to get the path in there..can anyone help me?

I really like this theme and want to use it. However, I dont know how to modify the sidebar to have the “Recent Tutorials” bring up the last 5 comments, rather than the categories for the 2nd time.

Laos, not sure how to get the thumbnails to load. I read the “instructions” but am not sure what file to edit to get the path in there.

Thanks!
Matt

Hi,
Not sure this is the right place to ask but i try anyway:) I have a little problem with my wordpress theme. When i press the categories i want them to only display the titles of the posts and nothing else. I have worked it out, removing the content and just displaying titles. The problem is that there are lots of spaces between them and i dont know where to change this. I want archive page to look like alla post titles nicely stacked under eachother. Anyone have an idea on this?

BR,
Johan

Awesome theme! Very innovative and good looking. WordPress is perfect for a tutorial site and this just makes it even better. Keep it up.

Nice job on identifying a niche that is in need of it’s own theme! Looks great too…although maybe a little too “stylized” for my needs with the category title images, but hey, beggars can’t be choosy;)

Thanks again for a great theme!
