WordPress Theme – Ultima
I was planning to release this free WordPress theme for a long time now. I stopped myself from doing it because of the changing trends. Nowadays, a lot of people are preferring magazine-styled themes, themes with super-duper slide shows, nifty effects and all that jazz!
But I am sure that there still exists a class of people who admire simple, minimalistic, and aesthetic themes. This was the sole reason of Blog Oh! Blog being famous in the first place. So, my new theme “Ultima” is dedicated to all those simple-minded bloggers and authors.
This is a soft-colored, rounded theme that totally aims at content and nothing else. This 2-column theme is all about the “complexity of simple things”… Enjoy!
This is a plug and play theme. Nothing much to do except configure the subscribe form, twitter and facebook links. You can do this by editing the socials.php file in the theme folder.
Please don’t forget to submit some feedback as it’s very valuable to me!
love this theme…however, the pages that have parents don’t drop down when I hover over the parent page….any chance I’m missing something? Love the theme but really need to create more pages as “children” of primary nav pages

Thanks for this one, I use it.
I have just one problem with it – this theme doesn’t want to show wavatars, monsterid, etc in the comments, there is always just default gravatar symbol. Could you give me a hint how to defeat this bug please?

How can I add menu widget support on this theme?
I inserted following code in functions.php

which enabled backend support for menus. Then I inserted following code in headers.php:

but after reloading frontend I couldnt see any menu displayed.
For some reason last lines of code for headers.php didnt show up so I m pasting them once more, here is the inserted code:

I just downloaded the theme… How can I edit the social.php so people register to my accounts in Twitter, Facebook and RSS???

I love your themes, they are so clean and easy to use. Only problem, how do I change the twitter, etc. stuff? Is there an options section or whatever? I can probably just go into the theme myself and do it, that’s fine.
As I told in my post above, you can change the twitter,facebook and feedburner settings by editing the socials.php file in the theme folder.

Thank you for this simple theme! I think most bloggers out there are your regular Joes who want a straight forward theme. I’m finding it increasingly hard to find well designed themes like this. The trend towards magazine style themes means that the regular Joes out there who want a nice looking blog are being forgotten. Many seem to be installing magazine style themes which aren’t always suited to personal blogs. So – nice job!
